There is a Netflix movie, Things Seen and

Heard, which is based on the novel, All

Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth

Brundage. The movie stars Amanda

Seyfried. 

Both are set in Western New York.

And both are actually based on a

true-crime, the same true crime.

On February 19, 1982, someone killed

Cathleen Krauseneck with an ax.

The unknown killer was known as,

The Brighton Ax Murderer.

I have not seen the movie yet. Nor have

I read the book, yet. I do, however, live

about thirteen minutes northwest

of Brighton.

Very recently this unsolved cold-case

. . .was solved.

Mrch 14, 2022, is a day that will forever be remembered in Buffalo New York, unfortunately for very bad, bad reasons.

On this date, a sunny afternoon, at around 2:30, a mass shooting erupted at the Tops Friendly Market grocery store in Buffalo, NY.

Thirteen people were shot. Ten, fatally.

In this podcast, we follow the events of that fateful day up to the sentencing of Payton S. Gendron - The Buffalo Mass Shooter.
